SBC to offer $1.99/month Wifi Hotspot access

During the last months, SBC has built up a large number of Hotspots. Today, they run 3900 Hotspots, from 70 seven months ago. The service will be available in locations such as Mc Donald's or Barnes & Nobles... (continued in Full Post) |
The financials makes sense: There is no big cost associated with the new service. SBC already handles the bills of existing customers, so it's just additional revenues.
This is going to put a lot of pressure on competitors, who charge $20 to $35 a month. The consumer wins...
