What is that Toshiba Gizmo?

I found this funny looking gizmo while browsing on the Toshiba Japanese website. I did a quick search but did not find it in the products. So if you have a clue, let me know.
Ron from Ployer has a good guess: He thinks that this might be the successor of the Toshiba ApriAlpha (in the photo on the right). The ApriAlpha can recognize up to 100 faces and talks using a voice synthesizer. The robot can connect to other devices via Wifi, Infra Red and Bluetooth. It can snap photos and send them to a mobile phone. The ApriAlpha is smart enough to move around and avoid obstacles. Thanks Ron! |
