i-mode FeliCa handset door key service

"The "kesaka service" allows an i-mode FeliCa handset to be used as the door key for an apartment. It can be utilised by users living in an apartment building that has the service installed." (techjapan)

The FeliCa handsets were known for their ability to be used for payments. There are all kind of possibilities, such as having e-keys that would expire... Locksmiths should enjoy life now. They might have a tough time down the road.
