Olympus R1000 Rugged PDA
Jan 31, 05 10:20 AM PDT

Olympus just launched a rugged Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) that is designed to resist dust, water splash and a 4 feet drop on hard surfaces.
Highlights
• 5.2 x 3.0 x 0.6 inch
• 180g
• IrDA, Bluetooth and Wifi 802.11b
• 320x240, 3.5", 65k colors screen
• 64 - 128MB RAM
• Up to 12hours of battery life
• Windows CE or Linux OS
Olympus has started to design some really cool devices with the m:robe MR-100 and MR-500 digital media players (check prices). This PDA is impressively small, compared to other rugged devices, and if the pricing is right, it could be quite tempting for someone who has a real mobile lifestyle. (check prices of rugged PDAs)
