Jablotron creates a Desktop Cellular Phone for the elderly
Feb 9, 05 12:48 AM PDT
This big telephone is a cellphone! Yes, this is true. Czech company Jablotron has created this "desktop cellular" to target elderly customers who are used to traditional (big) phones.
The company believes that elderly people are experiencing difficulties with modern cellphones that are getting ever smaller. This is real and wireless companies are increasingly looking to attract older customers, as they represent a huge untapped market.
In Asia, there are basic cellphones (not this big) targeting this population already. It's only a matter of time before it happens here too.
