The Samsung LN40R51BD 40" LCD TV has two exceptional qualities for a LCD TV:
• Response time of 8ms
• Reproduce 30bit colors (10 bits per component)

Most LCD screens can produce 24 bits at best, while older models do only 16, 18 or 20 bits. The more bits you have and the more color variations the screen can reproduce. Even on a 24bits screen, it is possible to see color bending, especially in dark scenes.
