Will NCD (NanoChromics Display) kill LCD?

Feb 15, 05 05:46 PM PDT

NanoChromics Display, NteraThe NanoChromics Display from Ntera, an Ireland based tech company, could be the next hot technology for the new screens. It offers huge power savings over the LCD and has the same manufacturing cost.

According to Ntera, this new patented nanotechnology process is able to display a crisp paper-like image with no loss of contrast from any angle the viewer is looking at it.
The company claims that the screens are easy to make, they can be produced with better yields at lower costs.

See the picture of a modified iPod : Ntera put a NCD screen in it, it looks great from any angle, unlike the regular screen.

This new display technology promises low power, rapid refresh, and amazing viewing angles. Could this be the technology that finally kills off LCD?
