The Computer Luggage Company (also trading as TechAir), has started to incorporate Ilutra Systems' unique i-TRAK worldwide tracking system into its 2005 range of laptop carrying cases.
The system is designed to enable owners to be reunited with their bag and its content via a simple text message. Tech air's Series 1 to 5 will include the i-TRAK system, providing a unique identification code for your bag and laptop. If you lose of misplace the bag or its contents, anyone who finds the luggage can anonymously call the automated message service (number sewn into the bag and visible on your laptop), and i-TRAK will then inform you of its location via an automated message service, Telex, e-mail or SMS alert to your mobile phone.
You can then decide how best to reclaim your lost property. Whilst obviously not a guaranteed solution to getting your gear returned, the system may significantly increase the chances of its finding its way back to you.
