Funky, but also kinda weird, Mathmos' Aduki (£34.95) personal light is named so because it looks a bit like an Aduki bean, which is what gives it its tactile organic shape.
Once charged, the Aduki (120x90x50mm) gives off a sensual calming light, and can either be set to pulse gently between its two colours (Red to Blue or Blue to Green) or to stay on a single colour. It charges like a mobile phone too, allowing you to wander around with it either in the house or the garden. The integral batteries and bulbs are good for up to 1000 charges.
