The Dimension 9100 is the first of Dell's next-generation desktops to sport alpine white and arctic silver colours that complement consumer electronic products, such as Dells' laptop range computers.

Dell also combines its patented QuietCase technology and Balanced Technology Extended (BTX) internal design specifications to deliver a quieter and cooler system compared to previous models, which might also help to improve the reliability of the product.
