Google Maps have evolved with the addition of a new Hybrid mode. This new mode superimposes map data – from streets, street names, and landmarks over the satellite image. Accessing this view is easy, all you have to do is to click the “Hybrid” button at the top right corner of Google Maps. Clicking on “Map” will return you to the former setting.
Bear in mind that the satellite images are not real-time but current ones, and image resolution varies by distance. Breathes new life into Google Maps (not that its OLD or anything)
