The pastel colored BenQ Qube Z2 cell phone is one of those weirdly designed phones that you either hate or love. A phone for sanguines, the Z2 is definitely not for those who hold rather reserved personalities. If you are the life of the party but have run out of hot topics to gossip about, this phone might be for you.

Sing along with the Qube's MP3 playback capability. There is an FM tuner for on-the-road radio and an equalizer to optimize your musical experience. Supporting both MP3 and Apple's AAC format, rest assured that you will be able to have access to most, if not all the popular music available. ID3 tags function is available should the need arise for you to key in lyrics for your favorite songs. Storage space had always been an issue with MP3 capable cell phones, and the 60MB onboard memory can be complemented by inserting an additional miniSD card. The Qube fits snugly into one's palm with its 66 x 66 x 20 mm size, and is pretty light at 106g.

The phone's cover is swappable, so just slap on whatever that captures your fancy. It comes equipped with a 1.3 mega-pixel camera and 3x digital zoom, where pictures can be viewed on its 1.5" 262k color TFT-LCD screen in 128 x 128 pixels resolution. With a touted 3 to 5 hours' of talktime and 150 hours of standby time, the Qube is expected to sell around AU$420 and is due for release in November 2005.
