Rumor: Symbian Treo in the works
Oct 12, 05 03:08 AM PDT

We knew that Palm would probably build another Palm-powered Treo, but it is somewhat surprising that Palm would take the time to build a Symbian version. If I remember correctly, Palm’s CEO said during the Windows Treo 700w launch that they were not working on another OS for the Treo. Palm also said a long time ago that there was no Windows Treo...
Depending how much work is involved, it might make strategic sense for Palm to “diversify” their most successful (Treo) franchise to more operating systems.
