TMDisplay makes notebook screens thinner
Posted on Oct 19, 05 01:38 AM PDT

Toshiba's Display Technology (TMDisplay) uses a new LED backlighting system. It will effectively reduce the thickness of existing notebook panel modules by up to 50%. Image quality won’t be compromised (according to Toshiba), and one can still enjoy DVD movies and TV programs at high quality. TMDisplay plans to complete a series of superthin lightweight, low-powered displays meant for mobile PC applications. Mass production has started.
