San Diego-based Nethercomm is working on creating a way to utilize ultra wideband wireless signals to transmit data at broadband speeds bia natural-gas pipes. Claimed to offer up to 100 megabits/second, this would prove revolutionary, but only if a working product is available. In theory, it works by adapting ultra wideband radio transmitters and receivers to send wireless signals through natural gas pipes, all this while delivering gas fuel as well.
