GPS to prevent speeding
Published on 11/29/2005

People won’t like it, but Transport Canada is coming up with a system that prevents drivers from speeding. It combines a digital speed map and a GPS to locate the car’s position in it. It will make the accelerator harder to press on when the speed limit is reached. So far the device has been tested in North America, and Northern Europe (good luck to impose this in southern Europe guys). Speed is blamed as being a contributing factor in many accidents, but I’m sure that drivers will just dislike the device. Most drivers think that they are above average... I’ll let you do the math.
