USB flashdrive with finger print recognition

Losing data in the wild is bad, but losing gigabytes of data is worse. With USB flash drives becoming larger, a loss could have big consequences. In Asia, many devices have started to feature security measures from the plain password to fingerprint recognition, like this one. I suspect that it is not the fear of data loss that is driving the incorporation of this extra precaution, but rather the arms race to add more and more features to differentiate a product on a commoditized market.Via akihabaranews
