Cross-Platfrom USB Keyloggers from DesignREM
DesignREM's KeyPhantom, disguised as a USB extension cable, now has a corporate version, receiving an increase in memory to 512KB from 128KB and a boost in processing power to a hefty 90 million instructions per second. This $269 KeyPhantom is compatible with Mac and PC USB keyboards, and is accessible from any text editor after entering the password. The firmware is upgradeable as well. The $349 Forensic edition comes with a whooping 2MB of flash memory, while the classic Home edition retails for $200. (features below) Via Everything USB • Records USB traffic at a hardware level; device looks like a USB extension cable.
• Installs in seconds.
• Designed in consultation with small to large businesses owners.

• Firmware upgradable.
• It is the ultimate backup device - never lose data due to a power or hardware failure again.

The jounalist in the cubicle next to me brought one of the early beta versions of this device from www.keyphantom.com about 5 weeks ago. He said that its worked perfectly for him, apart from one problem: it wouldn't pick up the right hand shift key. Annoying to say the least. He said that tech support was ok - they released a upgrade which fixed the problem on his device, about 3 days later. He ran a Windows utility which downloaded new instructions into the device to fix it.

Anyway, he's happy with it - he's trying to get me to purchase one, but I reckon that my memory is good enough to recreate any articles if our system crashes.
