i-Bob, the iPod nano clone
Posted on Dec 9, 05 12:40 AM PDT
This iBob MP3 player that one can find on eBay resembles the iPod nano isn’t it? The seller says that it uses an OLED screen to play MPEG4 or .ASF video files in addition to audio files. The i-Bob also acts as a photo album, ebook radio and USB mass storage, of course. The largest storage capacity is 1GB but 512MB and 256MB also exist. On eBay via Macbidouille (fr)

I purchased a nano clone from ebay just over a week ago a 4 gb one it wasn't hacked it came from Hong Kong and only took 9 days to arive to the uk and its excellent I must be lucky because nearly every comment on them is negative I paid £23 for mine postage was free there great if you dont want to spend over £100 for an ipod video which really isn't that great because you have to have special software to use it and it dosen't have a built in fm radio which is really annoying when as with the nano clone its just plug in and use but i must give some advice for people using nano clones don't ever upgrade the firmware because it will kill your player my friend bought a nano clone that was working fine until he upgraded his firmware which killed his player and once that's happened you can't fix it and one other thing it only supports amv (anime)movie files but you can convert AVI mpeg wmv files to amv usin mp3(amv convertor) utilities 3.68 you will get a mini cd rom that has the software but don't bother using it because it is full of viruses but you can get mp3 player utilities 3.68 trojan free version for free all you have to do is go on www.mympxplayer.org and click downloads and then tools you will find plenty of versions but look for the trojan free versions but overall i think there better than people say they are

Hola, just bought one 8gb for 68 bucks off of e-bay, free shipping. I tought it was fake, but it was not. It did hold up to 8gb, the manual instruction is impossible to follow, navigational(not as smoth as Nano) is fairly easy to figure out. Battery life is about a few hours, you can change with the 8 or 12 hour off of e-bay for about 8-12 bucks I think. It uses 2.5mm jack (most popular is 3.5mm), so you can get a converter for about 5-7 buck also off of e-bay, other than that; that's what I know so far, I will share some more if I learn something new later on. PLease share if you guys learn anything new.

These things are garbage, friend just bought one and it doesnt even work. They tell you its a 1 gig, and it even registers as a 1 gig on your computer but its actually a 256. Dont waste your money on this fraud garbage, anyone who tells you otherwise is either ignorant as hell or in cahoots!

just got one of these not bad you get what you pay for. Only real let down is the fact that the headphone socket is not the standard size have to use an adaptor which is nearly as big as the player.
