Plextor has unveiled a true portable DVD burner that doesn't use a power adapter and is lightweight. The PX-608U offers average burning speeds, DVD-RAM support, and dual-layer recording. It is only 22.2mm thick and weighs just 450g and is able to write dual layer DVDs at 4X, DVD±R/W at 8x, DVD-RAM at 5x, and CD-R/RW at 24x. DVDs read at 8x and CD-ROM at 24x.
