Learning Retinal Implant System a success
Swiss-based Intelligent Medical Implants AG has made a medical breakthrough with the successful implants of their first-generation Learning Retinal Implant System on a couple of patients in December last year. The 50-electrode device’s main function is to replace the signal-processing functions of a healthy retina and provides input to the brain via the retinal cells and optic nerve. Hopefully further advances to this technology will be able to make the blind see one day. Via MedGadget

Me interesa todo lo relacionado con implante de retina articial, ya que tengo un hijo que necesita este tipo de implante. Por favo, cómo hago para saber cuáles son los nombres de los científicos suizos que anunciaron el 17 de febrero del 2006 la consecución con éxito de una serie de implantes de sistemas de retina artificial. En dónde los puedo encontrar, en qué institución hacen estos tipos de implates, auqnue sea de modo experimental?.
