LiTraCon refresh for boring concrete
Concrete has been the stable building block for the last half century for buildings worldwide, gaining a reputation of a reliable and boring construction material. Check out the Light Transmitting Concrete (LiTraCon), which is actually a mixture of concrete and glass fibre optical strands. The end result is a translucent, solid block that can be used for walls, floors, and even pavements. Old is gold, but it could do with a little nip and tuck once in a while. Via Gizmag
