Transparent OLED technology is the future
Posted on Jan 31, 06 07:31 AM PDT

CRT monitors have shrunk to their LCD counterparts, whilst cellphone screens have taken the slim route to the point of transparency these days. 2 companies are developing such products via different methods. Fraunhofer has pioneered the use of a light-emitting polymer and a new metal electrode that supplies current to it, while Universal Display Corporate are developing TOLED that functions through a transparent compound cathode. This produces a transparent value of 70-85% when turned off. Soon, even the RAZR V3i will look like a thick brick.Via Mobile Mag
