Laser Turntable

Laser Turntable
Vinyl LPs are fragile collectors' items of the day, set aside quietly to be played rarely if ever. Well the ELP Laser Turntable eliminates any risk of LPs ever getting knicked. Using five separate laser beams to explore the grooves (much like a CD player) it boasts the ability to play a record thousands of times without damaging the vinyl. It can skip tracks, scans backward and ahead, and offers programmable repeating of single sections of a track. Via geekBlue

Mr Orange, I did have contact with vynils and owned some earlier in my life. Like many people, I think that CDs' audio quality is "good enough" for my needs.

Not agreeing with your point of view doesn't necessarily mean that we're ignorant. Skipping track and other features like that are used my millions everyday, we think.

But thanks for reminding us that not everyone leaves their vinyls dusting off.

It really annoys me when people with no contact with vinyl culture makes comments like that in your first sentence. It might astonish you to know, that vinyl owners play their records regularly and the reason they generally prefer records over CDs is precisely because they sound better! The fact that this review focuses on pointless "benefits" such as skipping tracks, programability etc just further illustrates your ignorance of the appeal of vinyl and turntables. In future, please stick to reviewing topics that you have knowledge of and an interest in.
