Sony Ericsson MMR-60 FM Transmitter opens avenue to share music
FM transmitters on MP3 players are old hat, but fancy having one on your cellphone? Sony Ericsson has developed the MMR-60 FM transmitter that will allow owners of Walkman phones (W900i, W800i, W550i, K750i, and Z520i) to share the music stored within with others. Operating it is as simple as plugging the MMR-60 into a Walkman phone and tuning in to the correct frequency. The MMR-60 costs around $45 to $50 and weighs a feather weight 9g. I just bought one today at my local dealer...

Well...

I have a W810i and I don't really like the MMR-60 that well...

It is well stated that it can transmit the sounds up to 10 meters right? But well, I've used it in my car (about 2 feet away from the receiver of the car) and it's sound quality isn't very gud. You have to put your phone like right beside the reeiver to allow it to play sounds with good quality.

I've heard that you can literally walk into a shop and change the music (if it is playing the FM Radio). But thats like impossible with the MMR-60. It seriously isn't a good FM Transmitter.
I'm really dissapointed about it.

Well, it still works for a party!!

LOL

The W810i is a great and intelligent device, tonight I bought this FM transmitter, I can't wait to listen to it in my Smart car. By the way, you can get great deal on these device on ebay, this week I saved 150$ CAN for the phone and FM transmitter alone.

Best commercial hit from Sony to IPod. Great gadget for those (like me) who like all functions in one single small product. Way to go!!
