A look at the Packard Bell GPS 400

Published on 03/20/2006

The value-for-money Packard Bell GPS 400 is a sub -£200 satnav device that comes in an easily pocketable form with great extras. Its customised Destinator software offers both 2D & 3D views, voice guided directions, dynamic routing (with near instant re-routing), plenty of points of view options, and operates in pedestrian and car mode equally well. With an MP3 player and photo viewer thrown in, this budget package offers exceptional value. Unfortunately, the short 3 hour plus battery life when using GPS could prove a hindrance to potential buyers.
