Lenovo Easy Cube
Lenovo has expanded its consumer product range with a cube-shaped MP3 player. Measuring 70mm x 70mm x 70mm, it is rather bulky when compared to MobiBlu’s 24mm3 player. That’s due to the Lenovo’s Easy Cube having a built-in speaker and a SD/MMC card slot. It takes 4AA batteries to run and supports MP3/WMA file formats. That should make it rather weighty – remember the first Game Boy? The Easy Cube should retail for around $50.

Do not be fooled into thinking that this is intended to be a highly portable MP3. Once you here the quality of the sound it produces (at an incredible volume level for its size) you will understand that this is a micro hifi unit. I have had dozens of MP3 players starting with the original creative RIO and this is without doubt one of the best. I have yet to meet anyone who is not impressed by the sound quality and ease of use. These units are currently available for 18 UK Pounds (36 US Dollars) and if you think you will find anything on the market that sounds any better for that price you are MISTAKEN.
