Despite a promising naming convention, the FlashDiscs are really simply Flash memory chips shaped to look like discs. How charming. Memorex is positioning the new product as a high-density alternative to floppy discs, but then again almost everything these days is a a high-density alternative compared to the standard 1.44MB floppy.
