SideShow to be ported to Windows Media Center remotes

Microsoft will port its SideShow technology over to Windows Media Center remotes. This enables users to visually access a PC’s electronic programming guide (EPG) and other media-centric features without cluttering up the TV. SideShow is currently integrated into next-generation laptops that offers information located on an exterior LCD cover. It can be connected via WiFi, Bluetotoh, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Ethernet – it doesn’t matter. Chances are high that Windows Vista will launch early next year with SideShow being indispensable.
