Netgear Ships World’s First 802.11n Products
Bandwidth-intensive applications are choking up current wireless network infrastructures, thus the need for a stable, faster wireless connection is never quenched. Netgear eases the burden by shipping the world's first 802.11n products via its RangeMax Next range that can deliver wireless speeds of up to 300Mbit/s. The product range comprises of a wireless router and a wireless notebook adapter among others. All these are compatible with legacy 802.11b/g wireless products. More details regarding the product range after the jump. • RangeMax Next Wireless Networking Kit Gigabit Edition (WNB511T) ($349)
• RangeMax Next Wireless Router Gigabit Edition with 10/100/1000 Switch (WNR854T) ($249)
• RangeMax Next Wireless Notebook Adapter Gigabit Edition (WN511T) ($129)
• RangeMax Next Wireless Router with 10/100 Switch (WNR834) ($179)
• RangeMax Next Wireless DSL 2+ Modem Router with 10/100 Switch (DG834N) ($249)
• RangeMax NextWireless Notebook Adapter (WN511) ($129)
• RangeMax Next Wireless PCI Adapter (WN311) ($129)
• RangeMax Next Wireless Access Point (WN802T) ($249)

All of the RangeMax Next Wireless Routers come with an advanced internal antenna design that provides optimal performance. Netgear's own ‘Steady-Stream’ technology ensures a stable connection at all times, providing ample muscle for multiple simultaneous signal-quality-sensitive applications such as streaming high-definition videos, Internet telephone calls, file sharing, MP3 downloads, and network games. Rest assured that security comes in the form of NAT and SPI firewalls, 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption, Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key (WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK), Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection, Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS), and Exposed Host (DMZ) for secure gaming.

And here I thought D-Link beat everyone to the punch (see: http://www.blurtek.com/2006/04/new-80211n-wifi-devices-from-d-link.html). D-Link anounced these on Friday, but pre-order only. They are "available" today though. Given there are some retailers offering up Net Gear's line, I say the win goes to them.
