Home Theatre PCs were supposed to be the be-all and end-all when it comes to the living room entertainment experience. Unfortunately for the layman, having output to the TV via an S-Video connection is never going to look good without the presence of an intuitive made-for-TV user interface. Thankfully, manufacturers from the East have begun to ship affordable multimedia machines since last year that offer both form and functionality. The Pixel Magic MediaBox HD Multimedia Player is able to handle a whole host of video and audio formats including DivX, XviD, DVD (.vob and .iso), MP3, and WAV. It supports the HDMI interface for HD enthusiasts.
