Polo Tech unveils programmable spinning LED fan
PC modding enthusiasts ought to take a second look at this LED fan to increase the bling factor of their PC. Taiwanese company Polo Tech has patented a display technology that allows the display of any text on the fan, with the ability to change it in real-time as well. The display uses a rotating circuit board with a vertical array of LEDs that displays simple graphics, animation, and color change via persistence of vision. The text and graphics can be changed on-the-fly via an internal USB connection and software. At $7, we predict the commercialized version of this prototype will be a hit amongst the modding community. ( Add a comment, Search on eBay)
