Solarin Turtle solar-powered scooter

Go green with the world's first solar-powered scooter by Solarin Holdings. The Solarin Turtle is built in Malaysia and has garnered strong interest around the world in view of oil price hikes and inflation. China, the country that relies on pedal power, has already ordered 100,000 units. Details are scant at this moment - even a real picture cannot be sourced. What we do know is the Solarin Turtle maxes out at 55 mph and can be recharged via thermal heat or an electrical source. It will be priced no higher than $820.

i've went to the launching of the solarin turtle in kuala terengganu, malaysia on the 10th June 2006, from what they have explained to the audience, Solarin turtle could go 55 Km/h, not 55 mph. This is because it's using the battery powered by Solar or UV.
