vOICe system helps blind see
The vOICe system is used in a device that helps blind people "see" their surroundings by turning light into an audio signal which is then interpreted as an "image" in the mind's eye after some practice. Developed by Philips Research Laboratories, this eye galsses come with a built-in camera that takes a picture every second and then converts the images into sound via signal processing software. Bright areas are loud, while objects on top are high notes, and so on, with stereo effect thrown in for object location. We can now have a glimpse into Daredevil's life.
