Packard Bell used to be synonymous with PCs back in its heyday during the 80s and 90s. Although you rarely hear of them these days, the folks at Packard Bell are still at it in European markets. The company has recently announced a couple of navigation systems, the Compasseo 500 and 600 to complement the current GPS400 device. Both of these new releases boast the highly accurate SiRFStar III GPS chipset, an antenna, a 266MHz processor, 64MB of RAM, a 3.5" TFT LCD touchscreen, and MP3 playback capabilities. The $379 Compasseo 500 is pre-loaded with France maps on a 256MB SD card while the $471 Compasseo 600 has maps of France, Germany, and all the main roads in Europe crammed into a 512MB SD card.
