Smart carpet spills the beans on age, gender

The Japanese have invented a carpet that is smart enough to tell your age with amazing accuracy - that's not to say it has a 100% record of right guesses, but it definitely thumps Madam Zora and her crystal ball into submission. This smart carpet comes with a layer of electrodes that measures the electrical flow resistance of the person walking on it, making an educated guess on the age, shoe size, and even gender. It excels when taking shots at those aged between 20 to 60, but is not so hot when predicting the gender with accuracy levels of 70% to 80%. That's not too bad, considering how boys dress like girls and vice versa these days.
