You know you're fascinated whenever you see a one man band at funfairs and circuses. The TonePort KB37 from Line 6 is a USB device that provides you with controls for your fingers and inputs for footpedals for your feet in order to record all manner of music that emanates from the guitar and bass, to vocals and keyboard parts effortlessly. The results are spectacular - it sounds as if you're recording from a world-class studio. Other features include software that models amplifiers, mic preamps, effects, and stomboxes as well as processing options for both guitarists and vocalists. It is compatible with both Mac and PC platforms.

It looks like a MIDI controller, meaning you can link it up to a computer with instrument software and "play" drums or any other sound. I'm considering this audio interface because it also has XLR inputs so I can plug in a mic and record to GarageBand on my Mac. So you could also record your normal drums through the two included microphone inputs right to your computer. If you have a drum machine, you can probably set up it up so it can be controlled by the keyboard. Ultimate flexibility.
