Gamepark GP2X on its way

Looks like the Gamepark GP2X will finally make its debut Stateside, although don't expect it to break the handheld gaming monopoly that is currently being held by the Nintendo DS Lite. The GP2X is powered by the Linux Operating System, and that translates into a slew of home-brew creations. It is a portable media player in essence, with some leeway for games. Among the supported video formats are MPEG, MEPG 4, DivX, and XviD. You can store all your video and music on an SD card. Specifications include a couple of 200MHz processors with 64MB of RAM. The Gamepark GP2X ought to retail for approximately $200.
