Leetac TAP-512 is a unit with too many problems to be worth repairing. The cd-player drives often fail after minimal use, the record player portion uses needles which are hard to come by and has a record platform which causes bends/defects in records, and the lighting system is easily damaged . NOT WORTH IT

Mine sucks! The turntable worked for about three weeks, then it was too slow, even on the fastest speed. Now it does not work at all.

I bought the LeeTac Nostalgic turntable with CD player at BestBuy as well. Mine didn't come with an extra needle and BestBuy is absolutely no help. They barely sell any needles at all and the ones they do sell are not compatible with the LeeTac brand. (I bought one) They were not willing to go the extra mile to help me find one and didn't seem bothered that this product they were still selling is impossible to find needles for. Any info please email me trisha_gayle@hotmail.com

Try going to Radio Shack for needles. They sell odd electronic stuff. Worth a shot.

I received a Leetac Model TAP-807 for a Mother's Day gift from my daughter. She purchased it several months before Mother's Day. Due to my work schedule I was not able to use the product until recently and it is not working properly. It has a phonograph, CD player, and radio. The buttons on the front do not work properly. The only radio reception I can get is AM. I went to Best Buy in Amherst, NY to try and exchange it, but they only have a 30-day return/exchange policy. They were of no help whatsoever. I have no address to return this defective unit to the manufacturer. I have a beautiful gift I cannot use or exchange for one that works properly. Do I have any recourse???

I bougnht one of these on ebay. The turntable had little nipples on the underneath side that made the rotation erratic. I fixed the nipples by removing them. Now works good. There is a rubber circular mat that cushions the records, so no marks will appear. Mine had three needles with it. I too am looking for 78 rpm needle. Instructions do not address this.

Never buy one of these...ever. The turntable has nothing to cushion the records save these three little rubber circles that have left marks on some really hard to find records. These marks do NOT come off either.

I purchased model number TAP-807 from Best Buy their model number 7860184 with an extended warranty. I purchased this Nostalgic wooden center. I purchased this item from Best Buy in Cedar Hill, Texas. I only need to know how to replace the needle on the record player. I have talked to every number that I was provided and no one was able th help me and I have turned to you the manufacturer to give me assistance in how to replace the needle on my record player. Best Buy wants to give me a credit for purchasing your product because they have no knowledge on replaceing your record player needle. Would you send me the instructions on how to replace the needle. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you want me to get a refund, which Best Buy in Cedar Hill has promised.

I bought this for my father-in-law because he has a bunch of old 78's - and I noticed in the store before I bought it that it did not include the needle for 78's. I did a search online, and found a website "www.turntableneedles.com" that sells needles. (Quite expensive!) I bought part 793-D7, which named Leetac in its list of companies and called these newer turntables "Nostalgic." If you just type Leetac in the search function, the proper needles show up. (At least I hope they are the right ones). Hope this helps.
