I didn't get the regular bluetooth headphones because they have batteries in them and I don't like batteries close to my head. I got them after reading that bluetooth sound was the best as opposed to infrared and radio-freq. I bought these a few weeks ago for use in my workcube to listen to music from an old am/fm cassette player and also to cds played in my computer. It plugs into any regular headphone jack. The sound from all sources (radio, cassette, cd) is phenomenal. I can move around in my cube and go appx. 20 feet away to other areas and it's still clear. It starts to go out maybe 25 feet or so away. And I don't have to hear my co-workers yakking, etc. either. They are comfortable too. I really recommend them. I used them for two days/appx. 7 hrs. each day before I needed to recharge. (Sorry I don't have a bluetooth phone or mp3 player to tell you how it is with those.)
