Most notebooks come with extremely short battery lives these days, no thanks to the gamut of features crammed within that guzzle up power like no tomorrow. The Toshiba Dynabook SS S30 takes a little breather in terms of processor performance, utilizing a mere 1GHz Core Solo processor in order to provide you with a long battery life of 9 hours on the standard battery. You can stretch it a little further to 13 hours if you purchase the extended version. The SS S30 weighs just 2.7 pounds, making it the ideal traveling companion. Unfortunately, it comes with a frightful price tag of $2,300 when released in Japan this September.
