Bridgestone WiFi Tire Pressure Sensor
Posted on: September 06, 2006

With all the talk about wireless gadgets and gizmos going on around us, Bridgestone has hopped onto the WiFi bandwagon and is close to unveiling its new wireless tire pressure monitoring system that makes use of sensors fixed beneath the tire rim. You can get tire pressure and temperature readings simply by holding a handheld device near it. A 1.5 second alarm will alert you should the tire be over- or under-inflated. The handheld device is capable of storing up to 1080 tire readings from a maximum of 90 vehicles, and the results can even be exported to an Excel file format. Now you no longer need to get your hands dirty when checking for tire pressure.
