A 7" portable media player is virtually non-existent and remains the domain of most portable DVD players, hence Coby's PMP7040 is in a class of its own by virtue of it's display screen. Features of the PMP7040 are pretty ordinary, comprising of built-in speakers, MPEG 4 support, MP3 and WMA playback, a photo viewer, and a pretty sizeable 40GB hard drive. You can also find similar specifications on other smaller sized players, but in a society where size is everything, the Coby PMP7040 might just have the edge.
