GuardID Vault centralizes passwords
Published on 09/15/2006

Gone are the good old days where the only thing you need to remember when you go out would be the ATM PIN number in the event where you are required to withdraw some quick cash on the go. These days we are beleaguered with much more than that, from multiple e-mail accounts to our various online community passwords, cellphone PIN numbers, and even the access code to various sections in the office building. The GuardID Vault is a USB smart card device that enables you to store all your usernames and passwords on a centralized location which is secure and portable, requiring only a single PIN to access it. The GuardID Vault also offers an advanced anti-pharming/anti-phishing solution. It would be nice to see this smart card come with built-in biometric authentication just in case somebody figures out your PIN.
