Japan market receives SoftBank X01HT

The Japanese market might be far ahead in terms of super slim cellphones with DMB capability, but smartphones over there are not doing too well. SoftBank of Japan has rebadged a HSDPA smartphone from HTC and called it the SoftBank X01HT. This device will run on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system and features a blazing fast mobile broadband connection via the HSDPA-enabled network. You can achieve data transfer rates of up to 1.8Mbps on downlink and 384Kbps on uplink. Other features include a QWERTY keyboard, push e-mail support, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer Mobile software, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, as well as audio/video playback capabilities.
