The QDOS Genesis portable speaker looks more like a can of soup, but it actually is a quadrophonic speaker that measures a space-friendly 115mm (diameter) x 85mm (height) when closed. You can place it practically anywhere you like thanks to the diminutive size and 0.8kg weight. A quartet of AA batteries will net you up to eight hours of sound, although an AC adapter can power it while you're indoors. You can also use the QDOS Genesis as a charger when the iPod is docked within. Th $164 QDOS Genesis works with iPods from all walks of life except the Shuffle.
