The new Blackberry Pearl has finally been officially announced by Research in Motion after months of secrecy. The Pearl is an extremely portable smartphone with its dimensions of 4.2" x 1.97" x 0.57", weighing a mere 3.1 ounces. The Blackberry Pearl will be made available to subscribers across the US by T-Mobile USA this September 12th, while those in Canada and selected European countries will have to wait until October.
