Published on 09/26/2006

Route 66 from the Netherlands have entered the already crowded GPS navigation market by introducing a quartet of super slim portable car navigation systems. The easy-to-remember Chicago 6000, 7000, 8000, and 9000 models retail for €300, €350, €400, and €450 respectively. The Chicago 6000 and 7000 targets local travelers as they come equipped with regional maps, with the 7000 having a slight edge over the 6000 by virtue of its ability to receive live traffic information. The Chicago 8000 and 9000 are equipped with maps of most western European countries. All four devices are equipped with MP3 playback capability, maps in 3D, and day and night mode.
