Sigma SD14 digital camera unveiled

The Sigma SD14 is one versatile digital camera that comes with a whole tons of capabilities that would put many other cameras in the market to shame. Features of the SD14 includes in-camera JPEG capability, an extremely bright viewfinder, a dust protector to keep the innards clean, a built-in flash, a generous 2.5" LCD display, and a 14 megapixel image sensor with 3 separate color-sensitive layers, courtesy of the Foveon X3 image sensor. Unfortunately, the only blemish on this seeming perfect device is the mathematics involved in hitting 14 megapixels - the SD14 uses a trio of 4.7 megapixel sensors to achieve the magical 14 megapixel number. Although this configuration offers the best color accuracy and detail amongst its peers, forking out $2,100 for such a device could prove rather painful to most people.
