Sirius Stiletto SL100 unveiled
The Sirius Stiletto SL100 is the company's first Satellite Live Portable Receiver, enabling you to listen to live Sirius Satellite radio wherever you are. Content is received through multiple channels, from the Car Dock to the Home Dock or in Portable Mode. It is also the first device of its kind that can pick up Sirius in WiFi hotspots, enabling subscribers to tune in at traditional dead zones. The Stiletto SL100 boasts 2GB of storage space and allows recording blocks of 6 hours at one time. It is currently available for pre-order and will ship at the end of this month or early October.

I don't know what the problems is, I travel all over with my Stiletto and love it. It is not some magic box and you need to be aware that it IS a satellite receiver and thus must have a line of sight to the sky and the satellite. If you are intending to use it as a portable receiver while working in the yard, it is recommended to wear the headband headset instead of the enclosed earbuds. If you are using it in the car, purchase a vehicle dock at any of the bigbox electronics stores for under 70 USD. This comes with an external antenna that will boost reception greatly. The Stiletto is a great music device when to it's fullest.

Understand your complaints. I live in a major city (Portland, OR), but if I travel anywhere into the suburbs reception wanes. Fortunately, I live right downtown and signal is good.

It works very well inside my house(West Haven-CT), my car and out side the reception is so good that I thought Howard was walking by my side!!!LOL

By Hmmmm - no thx - FORGET indoor reception! , 27/12/06 7:49 PM (CommentID #077845)

Rec'd this as a gift for Christmas so that we could listen to GOOD radio @ home (+ Howard) and/or while @ work. We live in a small (250,000+) city (with bad - hick - radio stations) in the middle of nowhere (wheat fields as far as the eye can see....), at the top of a LARGE hill, in a 4-story, 106-yr-old house, with your basic 25' oak and maple trees set evenly apart between the sidewalk & the street (pretty much Mayberry-esque) on the outskirts of the property. This thing doesn't get %*$%$ for reception. We've tried every floor of the house, and it's a no-go. I think I have a better chance at a close encounter (of the 3rd kind) than getting any reception. Right now, it's still "Acquiring Signal"... which is what it displays, literally, 80% of the time - when it's not cutting in & out. The instructions tell you to put it outside (?????????) - WHAT??? Huck it into the snow - OK!!! The gift-giver got ripped off to the tune of $350+. How awful. Literally makes me sick. We are stuck with it - no receipt - anyone want to buy on the cheap? You'd better live in Kansas or Montana, and have NO vegetation within 300 miles of your house. On the plus-side, when it DOES work, the sound is WONDERFUL.
